Heath Ledger

I was so saddened to hear about Heath Ledger's death.

Heath has been one of my favorite actors for a long time. I have seen almost all of his movies - though to be honest I am not sure I want to see him as the Joker. The images I have seen from that movie are so disturbing. I loved him in the Patriot, and cried when his character was killed.

I really loved him in A Knight's Tale - my kids and I have so much fun watching that movie. Talk about the ultimate rags to riches story. I really love his character in the Brothers Grimm.

I feel so bad for his daughter, who will never get to know her daddy. And for his parents - it is just not right, to bury a child.

There are plenty of other places to find the news, so I won't repeat it all here.

Not even sure what else I want to say. Just that he will definitely be missed.

Clear Scraps SNOW album

Here is one of my latest albums - it is a tabbed album. This one was a lot of fun. I sort my embellishments by theme, so it was easy to get out my Winter drawer and have lots of things to play with.

The pink snowflakes on the front are done with StazOn ink.

The tabs say WINTER - rubons from Scrapworks.

The striped "ribbon" is actually fabric - I cut it into strips and tied it like the ribbons.

Other supplies include diecuts, stickers, glitter snowflake rubons, and patterned paper from the DCWV Christmas glitter stack.

Jason Reeves - what can I say?

I found Jason's music on MySpace. He is (as yet) unsigned to a label. But lately this has been my favorite music to listen to. He has an awesome voice, I like the music (an interesting mixture of acoustic, alternative and folk), and the lyrics are relevant. He has a gift, and I hope he will make it to a label.

Welcome to my scrappy little corner of the planet.

A little about me - I have been scrapping for almost 10 years now (not including the ones made as a kid!). I mostly scrap about my 2 kids, but have also been working on a Book of Me, various things around the farm and several vacation mini albums. I also like to make cards and gifts for friends. In addition, I am a design team member for Clear Scraps, an awesome company started by the ladies at my local scrapbook store. In my spare time, I work as a veterinarian, which helps to support my scrappin' habit. Ah well, at least it isn't cocaine (though almost as expensive, and definitely as addictive! {"Really... I can quit ANY TIME I WANT TO... oh.. is that a plain paper edge? MUST... FIND... INK...."})
